Donate Day

Donate Day

Bring your previously used items which are good enough to be sold on by a number of charities in their shops.

There have been a number of "scams" in the press about companies stating that they are collecting for charities when they are only giving a small percentage to the charities.

We as an organisation have tried to be a middleman, in creating an event which means that you give directly to a choice of charities at a very easy to reach location (so no carrying bags full of items a long way)

Day:
Sunday
Date:
3rd October 2010
Time:
10:00am
Until:

Kidderminster Harriers, Stadium Close, Aggborough, Kidderminster

Details:

Donate Day is a new initiative for charity shops in the Wyre Forest.

As charity shops need to be in town centres to get customers, this makes them potentially awkward to get for donating stock to them. So Bewdley Roundtable have organised a Donate Day, where the charities will be there with vans, and we provide an easy and convenient place, next to a big car park to drop items off.

We are after good clothes, cds, bric a brac, DVDs, books. No furniture please. So empty your wardrobes in time for Christmas, fill your car boot and easily drop off your unused items so that the charities can sell them.

You will be donating directly to the charities. Roundtable will not make any money from this event whatsoever.

The current list of charities who have shown a keen interest in attending are:-Kemp Hospice
Sue Ryder Care
British Heart Foundtation
Spokes
British Red Cross
Oxfam

If you are a charity, have a shop in the Wyre Forest area and wish to get involved or if you want to know more about the event please get in touch
