“One of the main reasons I joined the Round Table is because I wanted to start up my own business working from home, and I realised I didn’t have a local network of friends.

“The first night I went was a big social night – a quiz with a good amount of beer! I was joined up to a team and made to feel very welcome. I didn’t have to buy a drink all night! I wasn’t left to my own devices and at no point in the evening felt awkward or on my own. People were genuinely friendly and made me want to go back.
